dystopia is pretty cool mod for hl2 if you're looking to try hard and have some fun.

we had fun playing the World in Conflict beta, but mostly we play anything but CSS these days.

Ok Ill have to get xfire, have never used it. Yeah I mean normal counterstrike I still love. I play it solo with bots just to kill time.

Hmm no I was.. 20/21 playing on the [H]ard servers for like a month straight.

About the 3rd week I was able to get myself to #9 on the server, not sure if that was great but the top 10 was pretty hard core. I was number 1 for desert eagle kills since that was the only gun I used.

I left shortly after to Japan and to my ship, this would have been November 2002 actually LOL. I came back now :D

I remember you Agent, Korea for sure, Hogg of course but he was in [H] i never was. We did try to start a team kinda with the top players. I just cant remember any of the names for the life of me. Its like nostalgic ... forgetfullness.

So anyways you guys dont play CS anymore huh? Well since Tribes/Counterstrike there hasnt been anything to catch my taste at all... QW looks/sounds badass enough to upgrade my desktop when it gets here.

But in summary, it's been compared to tribes, the best of CS, and taken the best stuff from Unreal Tournament. (like assault mode). It's big downside is that you have to learn things. There are lots of combinations you can have between augmentations and weapons, and the maps are intricate. Quite often both a cyberspace objective must be gained/held at the same time in "meatspace." So it's not easy, but that's the fun of it, for me.

it doesnt really have to be that complicated though. i let everyone else take care of the more complicated stuff mostly. i mostly just kill people and blow shit up.

true. heavy + thermals + speed if you have the rocket launcher or ion or wired reflexes if you have minigun or flak gun = relative simplicity. (as long as you watch out for cloakers and use that fist of yours)
