crapy clawn forums :: Day Z stories

I really wanted to try this, but I heard it's a little silly with the shitty engine and all.

But I've heard stories of it going standalone, and an open world multiplayer zombie sandbox free-for-all is my kinda game.

I hope not the game /engine is a buggy post and full of hackers

Reinstalled the standalone. Man it is bad right now even worse than ever before. Like fucking Duke nukem forever in real time. anyways... Not the best story but I was laughing pretty hard

I had full gear and everything but was lost and never saw anyone cause way up north. Died on purpose to get back to the action and respawn.
I find an axe and start hunting for a rifle or victims. A guy runs up on me and didnt expect me there and shouts "WHOAAAAA! I havnt had any excitment all day!" I start talking like a crazy rednec k into the mike.
"CMMMEEERE BOYYY HEEEY BOY YOU GOT A PERTY MOUTH!" him-"AHHHH GET AWAY FROM ME AHHHH" He prevailed in my assault and I died to spawn right next to there haha" I charge straight there and keep shouting HEY BOOOYY"
He hears me and says I need help i broke my leg on the roof"
Me- HEEEY BOY WHERE YOU AT BOY
him OHHHH GOD NOT YOU AGAIN NOOOO!!!

Found a really big building in a new town they made. Looks like a capitol building whatever. Lot of guns there. I have a mossin nagaunt and a magnum with ammo. I clear all the rooms and decide to go to the top to snipe people in the town for fun.
I open the door to the ouside roof top access and i stop... I see a weird shadow yep its a guys shadow on the other side of the door holding a pipe or shovel in the striking position. I pull out my rifle and pop out fast and blast his ass. Now to find a corner overlooking the town. Here it is. I crouch and then go prone. I rubber band off the building and fall a long ways to my death.. YOU ARE DEAD!

At what point did you think this was fake?

This thread is more of a jornal of my life in the world of Day Z. Day Z is a mod for Arma II operation Arrowhead. The engine is garbage and the game is so buggy, I know I am going to die in some horrible way not due to my fault or someone else eventually. Saying this, I have become a bandit. These are my stories. You spawn on a coast with a few bandages and a flashlight. You must find food/water/heat/antibiotics(rare) as a minimum to survive. There are zombies everywhere and normally 40 player servers. There are two major towns that most new spawns go to for supplies and weapons. Cherno or Elektro on the southern coast. map http://db.dayzwiki.com/map/chernarus#po ... .49,97.98\| Day 1 I spawned and found my way into Elektro holding only an axe for protection. I am unfamiliar with where everything is but I manage to find a grocery store. Being hungry I figure thats gotta be a good place to find food. I hear many gunshots in the distance and some close. I heard someone say to not trust anyone EVER. In the grocery store I find food and a .45 revolver. I cant figure out how to use the sights but can still shoot from the hip. I see a man running from zombies outside and I point my gun at him in a defensive posture. He says with a brittish accent "Don't shoot I am friendly!". Well I can figure out how to aim so I say "Ok come on in". We kill the zombies pouring into the store. He says " I thought you were going to shoot me mate" I say I am a newb and cant figure out how to aim anyways." He says " you have to right click quickly" ME "thx man" BOOM! free shotgun. Day 1-2 Fresh spawn on the coast running on the highway. I see a moterbike flying past me. Took a pot shot with my crossbow but its crap. He disappears into the distance. I hear an engine so I sneak up from bush to bush on the main highway side. I see the motor bike a car and two guys fixing the car. Seems the just finished fixing the tire. I bumrush them take a potshot with the crossbow and think I missed. Run straight for the car. Get in the back seat(was aiming for front). The guy standing next to the car sprays and ak through the window but i have moved to the front seat too quickly. start car take off full speed ROFL. I was almost out of range and they shot my back tire out then they killed me.

DAY 1-3 I am getting pretty good at the game and how to avoid the bugs. I find a Lee enfield rifle. Very loud gun that brings zombie hordes to you when fired. Use only on humans or if cornered. I am sneaking all over trying to get loot. I find a garage with a second story. Walk up the stairs as I hear someone outside running. Turn and face the stairs with the rifle aimed. This guy with and axe at the ready is sneaking up the stairs behind me. Sees me pointing the rifle at him and freezes for 2 sec then turns around and sneaks back down the stairs. I say in game "HAH I bet you thought you would get me didn't you!" BAM Nothing of value on him. fins and ak-47 at the SW airfield but am low on ammo. Find a large farm shed. Walk into the shed and notice a man with his back to me crouched down looting stuff. In game me "DROP ANY WEAPONS YOU HAVE AND TURN AROUND SLOWLY!" Guy is unarmed and says please dont kill me I have no weapon. I need food and water bad so I say "GIVE ME ALL YOUR FOOD AND COKES OR PEPSIS!" He says "I dont have any sir." I say "TOO BAD!" BAM. Guy had a magazine of AK win! By now the server knows that I am a bandit so they are paranoid of me and one other guy who does the same. They attempt to work together but fear of me and the other bandit results in a lot of accidental shootings thinking their friend was me. DAY 1-4 Fresh spawn in Cherno. I hear flies. Lots of flies. That means dead players. Track the source to a pub second story. I find the remains of a massive shootout that had no survivors. Guns and gear everywhere. I am now armed with an AK(6mags) and an m4with acog(4mags). I find one of my sniper nests that I have placed barbed wire at the entrance so I dont get snuck up on easily. Third story shooting people for an hour or so. Must have killed like 6-7 people, but too dangerous to loot them. Half the server is hunting me including some teams. No one spotted me yet but they know kind of where I am due to bodies and zombies massing near me. I hear a chopper!!! It is circling my position with a door gunner. I go to the roof and make sure he doesn't spot me even though zombies have followed me to the roof they are more interested in the noise of the chopper. He gets dangerously close to my position. I open fire with the ak and drop maybe 4 mags into him. He backs off and fires away but he can't tell who is me and who is a z. I am now out of ak ammo so I switch to the M4. Begin firing again trying to hit the pilot or door gunner. They now think there is a whole team of bandits where I am due to the amount of fire and different weapons ROFL. Chopper quits firing and runs away. I later found out that I killed the door gunner and wounded the pilot who then bled out while trying to fly away and crashed. During the battle I got stuck in a wall and could not get out Z's eventually swarmed me. DAY 1-5 Respanwed close by and went for my loot. Found it untouched. Cherno is now a ghost town due to amount of people I killed. Looted bodies of guys I killed earlier. Find a DMR with 6 mags!!!!!(autosniper rare). Climb a bunch of pipework and continue my rampage for another 12 or so kills till someone snuck up on me and made me fall off breaking my leg.

I love how every story I hear about this game is all "Well, I basically spent my time looking for guns and then shooting other people...sometimes a zombie wandered past, but they're about as common and have as much impact as bigfoot"

They have log scanner anti-cheat but the game is flooded with hackers. for instance. Day 1 Spend like 3 hours playing and find some decent guns. I am in the school hunting humans. Hacker runs into school with sachel charges(Not in day z) and blows the entire building up. Day 1 Entire server teleported to roof of schoolhouse. Massive shootout ensues lol. Not many survivors. One guy was teleported to some island and left there rofl.

It is in EARLY EARLY alpha now on standalone via steam. So far I havnt run into any of the blatent hackers who teleport you and such. Game still feels like i always have a 600 ping on CS. Feels better than the arma2 mod which is a terrrrrrrible fps platform. They are getting way into realism though. Have to find out your blood type to get new blood wow really.

Koerea and I been playing a bit. We got trapped in the airplane hanger at the sw airport. Every time we try to leave bullets start flying. Then Koera notices a guys arm sticking through the wall and we are like oh shit he is waiting for us to run. Shoulda shot him through the wall damn didn't think of it. Then Korea charges him with a shovel or something and gets wasted. I got shot too but I took him down and he combat logged. I escaped though THANKS KOREA!

This happened before I started playing with Korea in the new stand alone. I start finding hand cuffs all over and im like wtf why would I need those? Then I read the description. Can't be reopened without a key once put on a person. DING. I am in the middle of no where lost with only an axe. I run into a random guy so I kinda hide till I see he has no weapon. I run up to him and he must be new cause you stay away from anyone with a weapon. I use in game voice and I say hey you need water or anything? and he stops to type to ask if I can hear him which I can't. I say I think you mic is broken man. As he is typing something I throw the handcuffs on him. His hands are now tied behind his back LOL. I say see ya and run off and he calls me a cunt.

Best Day Z video ever. No it wasn't me on either side. I laughed so hard I almost died. You might not understand why this is funny because the game makes you soooo paranoid. Little sounds will make you hold position for many minutes.

Thats how I started. I could reinstall but id rather give feedback about the beta and try n get this crap game going. They are more worried about the damn content than the base. They also changed all the spawn points and its really weird now. Still no vehicles but the interface has improved a lot over the mod.

So I didn't read the title of this thread before clicking, and at first assumed this was real life. I became disappoint. Not at you not dying in real life, but disappoint that this was all fake.
