OK, so I'm at an impasse.

My internet doesn't work, and my computer-fixing buddy says my internet port is the problem, so suggested getting an ethernet card. Only problem is that my motherboard only has internal porty hub things that look like this:

and all the ethernet cards I can find (bestbuy, and the guy says that's the only kind they make) look like this:

Pete: the ones at the store are PCI cards. Your motherboard should have PCI slots. I can't believe it doesn't. Are the slots on your board ISA slots (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industry_S ... chitecture )? If not, I don't know what they are.

If your board has ISA slots, and you need a new Ethernet card, you should be able to get one somewhere: http://www.google.com/products?q=ethern ... e&ct=title

Not ISA slots unless ISA slots are alot smaller these days. They are exactly as I drew them above... and I have no idea why I would only have those and no PCI slots.

I'm betting they're both just PCI...PCI cards sometimes don't need all the pins so there's just nothing there, hence (ty) the gap.

I just got my new vid card and power supply...should be operational sometime tonight...
