I'm sure some of you have heard me mention that I play a RPI MUD (role play intensive multi user dungeon). I wanted to post this so you have an idea of the type of world in the mud, since I hardly ever talk about it. Plus, it's funnay.

Sounding confused, the red-haired halfling asks, in sirihish: 
     "We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?"
 
Sounding resigned, the dark-haired halfling tells the red-haired halfling, in kentu: 
     "I don't think he knows about second breakfast, Pip."
 
Looking desperately aghast, the red-haired halfling asks the dark-haired halfling, in kentu: 
     "What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he?" 

Deadpan, the dark-haired halfling tells the red-haired halfling, in kentu: 
     "I wouldn't count on it."

Pullng out a blowgun, the red-haired halfling exclaims, in kentu: 
     "We'll show him then!"

The red-haired halfling shoots the swarthy, handsome ranger with a feathered, poison-tipped needle!
The swarthy, handsome ranger's eyes roll back in his head.
The swarthy, handsome ranger crumples to the ground.

Happily, the red-haired halfling tells the dark-haired halfling, in kentu:
     "Let's eat!"

The dark-haired halfling nods, happily, pulling out a crude bone skinning knife.

it's RPI, totally different. Perma-death, no "channels," no levels, no skill ranks, no IC skillsets, no greenery, little water, all wasteland, and no mercy.

Plus, the halflings are tribal and cannabalistic.

and yea, happy, i seriously don't enjoy hackandslash muds. If i wanted to kill shit, i'd just play bf2 or css, or shit, even my old copy of wolfenstein3d has better graphics than a mud.

heh, touche`, but actually, in order to get decent fps on CSS, i have to make it uglier than CS:CZ.

So in fact, the graphics for comparable performance are far worse, holding everything else constant.

unlike wolf3d which can run on systems that can't even run a modern mud client.
