hooray for penny arcade and their fantastic writing Quote: I sometimes have fantasies about adopting a similar position, but then I am reminded that Brenna would seize my scrotum, tearing off my balls with a quick jerk like an orchestra conductor. She would then kick my balls through the uprights, scoring three points for her team - a team which is made up entirely of angry wives. |

I finally solved the Rubik's Pube. |

Maybe someday I will find the unction necessary to solve a rubiks cube, but until then I will content my simple self with easier puzzles, like how to make my middle finger disappear when I lace my fingers. |

I shouldn't mislead anyone. I Googled "how to solve a Rubik's cube" to do this. The thing is, I went to the first result, which is not "how to easily solve a Rubik's cube," but rather "how to solve a Rubik's cube using a world-championship technique." It walks you through it, but it's complicated. About halfway through, assrott pointed out that a simpler (but more move-taking and time-consuming) method would probably be easier, but by then I didn't want to turn back. |

gg slashdot linking a wicked sweet article: http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2006 ... 61227.html Quote: Gamers said they felt the best about their experience when the games they played produced positive outcomes in scenarios related to the real world.
This is definitely an accurate description of a pub raid.
"It's our contention that the psychological 'pull' of games is largely due to their capacity to engender feelings of autonomy, competence and relatedness," said Ryan, the lead investigator in four new studies about gaming. The draw of video games "also can be experienced as enhancing psychological wellness, at least short-term," Ryan said. |

Manhammer fans do NOT like it when you're winning 92-7 and you go for two. Also, even if all your stats are set to 99, the NFL is really hard for a 6'0, 160-lb. halfback. On a positive note, Gabe Newell threw 13-21 for like 400 yards and scrambled for a bunch of touchdowns. Hogg Hogg, Ur Mawm, and Brad Haas combined to bring the total offense to 750 yards in the 94-7 home victory at the Fellation Dome. |

Yea, but the idea that people can experience deep physcological satisfaction from saving their Alliance fort from the Horde just reeks of way too much care.
