Who built that lava pool in the yard?

Also I am having trouble figuring out how to build a starter button. I really need a relay but do not want to have to build it using a powered minecart track and such.

Huzzah, that incessant whine tells me that my MineCraft server is back up.

(edit: the whine is from the server fans)

meh. The excitement is gone for me. I think 1.8 is a halfsy release and I don't like chasing the nightly builds and I'm tired of starting new worlds. Let me know when the next stable release drops.

Post subject:  Re: minecraft

there's not really gonan be a stable release until, well, release. they keep doing updates ever few weeks as you know, with 1.9 being soon hopefully. you don't need to start new worlds either anytime? ive been using the same one since forever on my other server my friend runs

Go check out that thing I build at my coast line. Dont hit any switches just go on top and pop out the redstone tourch and pop it back on the same spot. Also there is a bridge going over lava near the river. I sugest you cross it nekkid.

Pre releases and Adventure Updates

The adventure update is going great! We’re adding features and cramming in content, and then started feature creeping and content creeping. What we’ve got on our hands now is somewhere in between a finished Adventure Mode update and a version of the game we’d be proud to call just “Minecraft”. Not “Minecraft Beta” or “Minecraft Alpha”, but just plain and simple “Minecraft”.

And we’re going to release that version of the game live on stage in Vegas at MineCon! Woooo!

Up until then, instead of trying to squeeze in another real release, we’re going to do weekly (or so) pre releases, aimed at advanced players. We release these via twitter, so make sure to follow me (@notch) and Jens (@jeb_) if you’re interested in those.

Also, we’re finally adding a dragon.

That was kind of a bitch to make. Hiding redstone and sticky pistons underground then covering them in lava is tricky.

So nobody is playing on the Hogg server? If not, I'll just shut it off until the new version or whatever.

so i logged into hogg's server today and worked a lot on the blob spawner. Also fixed a few houses and farm plots that had been blown up. And farmed all the wheat and replanted. And went off and found a SINGLE SHEEP and lead it back into a pen.

who the fuck killed ALL THE ANIMALS in the vicinity? we'll have to mount an expedition to lead a bunch back if we're going to actually continue to play minecraft and stay in that spot.

dime and i worked on the library of ages today. Posi, thanks for the donation of a bunch of your stone. we turned it to stone bricks and you can see some of it in use already. if you need stone for a project you had planned let me know and I can help churn out some more.

also, posi, why did you dig long ass 3x3 tunnels relatively close to the surface and leave them dark? I was annoyed by the zombie sounds so i found the tunnels and lit them. Were you planning to use them as some sort of mob XP grinder?

p.s.

i planted sugar cane everywhere (thanks for hoarding the initial batch, korea) so we could have plenty for all the book cases we are going to make. If you decide to help harvest it, either plant more or put it into the chest by the library (right next to ultros's trap). ty!

The stone had to come from somewhere.

I hope your library has firewalls (in the traditional sense) to contain the inevitable fire.

Post subject:  Re: minecraft

yea i mentioned having walls thick enough on the outside to withstand the odd creeper explosion and total lack of repair by unknown perpetrators. fire breaks would be a good idea too.
