Ok, so last night this guy named Ray Kurzweil came to speak at my university. One of my professors made attendance mandatory but I was planning to go anyway. Today I have to write up a quick one page response about what I thought of his presentation.

This guy is famous because he has a knack for predicting how long it will take us to achieve certain futuristic technology and he is good at mapping out timelines that represent progress toward a given technology. Most of the stuff he talked about last night was really sci-fi sounding stuff but it all seemed plausible given enough time.

Anyway, today I gave his wikipedia page a brief once-over just out of curiosity and I caught this gem...

He must watch a lot of scifi anime. This was done in Outlaw Star.
