Probably the same ones who gave the Heisman to Tebow.

Oh look, now there's 2 Big10 teams in the Top 10.

And I can't believe that vaunted SEC speed defense allowed Troy to lead the game for 3 quarters and allow them tp put up 31 points. What did OSU do to that very team? Why held them to 10 points while scoring 28 with a very hampered rushing attack.

for all you Texas fans, Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe has some words of wisdom for you.http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3739466

"This was a perfect storm," Beebe said. "You can't create a rule that accounts for every scenario."
except everyone else has:
Quote:
Using the various tiebreakers of the ACC, Conference USA, MAC and SEC -- other conferences with two divisions -- Texas would have advanced to the Big 12 title game.
Quote:
"Let's say that the eighth-ranked team in the BCS is in the same division as the third-ranked," Beebe said. "If the eighth-ranked team beat the third-ranked team on a last-second play at home, sending the eighth-ranked team, that would defeat the purpose of trying to send the team with the best chance of winning a national championship."
If a 8th ranked team beats a 3rd ranked team at all then the 3rd ranked team should drop below the 8th ranked team who moves up. Then you are still sending the best.

Suck my balls, Beebe.

Florida, huh?

Well, a few network executives can't be wrong.

I'm still not sure where this "consensus" for Florida comes from. Here, take a quick quiz:

1. Which of the following teams is shittier?

a) 4-loss Ole Miss, playing on the road.
b) Top 5-ranked Texas Tech at home.

Yeah.

Believe me, I'm really not a big fan of Texas, but it seems they sure got fucked here. Kind of like last year when Ohio State kept having such impressive bye weeks that they leap-frogged Kansas, whose only loss was to the #1 team in the country. Eat a bag of Canadian dicks, John Saunders.

My professor refers to him as "Tim 'Viagra' Tebow".

I don't know why.

Um they didn't leap frog anyone. People lost and they dropped plain and simple. If you lose, you can't expect to stay in the same ranking you were before the loss.

Except if you already had a loss to a crappy team at home and the team ahead of you picks up their first loss - barely, and on a neutral site to the #1 team. Last year this involved OSU/Illinois and Kansas/Mizzou, this years it's Florida/Ole Miss and Texas/Texas Tech.

I'm not really trying to pick on Ohio State this time, srsly, they're just the most recent example I could think of for the "People are dumb and weigh the most recent happenings way too heavily and that's why whims shouldn't decide 'championships'" phenomenon.

Interesting game that was. I think in order to keep our assholes puckering they throw random "wildcards" out there to not win so fast.

In NFL News, cry more Titans. The refs are gay and the NFL only cares about the Mannings and making expansion teams profitable.
