So I heard that BF3 isn't going to be on Steam. Sucks. If we want a digital copy, we either have to use EA's shitty new download servie called Origin, or GoG. Sucks, but w/e.

Also, there was a big shitfit with some unlockable content, which EA folded on. Apparently they were locking out some weapons and ammo if you didn't preorder, but they've since changed their shit so that the content will be unlocked some time after the game launches.

Also, if you care about playing Back to Karkand, you have the choice of preordering or buying the content post-launch.

tl;dr Marketing execs are slimy scumfucks and deserved to be eviscerated anally by a throbbing elephant cock.

That's an annoying move.
I hate Games for Windows and other clients that aren't Steam.
While I'll end up bowing to EA in order to buy the games I want these lack of options makes me want to stop giving them money at every opportunity.

The funniest part about this whole thing is that people are using the same arguments that were used when Steam was introduced. It'd be even funnier if EA shut down BFBC2's auth servers and made everyone move to Origin.

yea i'd been looking forward to Alice: The Madness Returns for years. But I may not buy it now because fuck EA, suck my balls.

steam offers quite a bit beyond a store. In fact, i'm still not a fan of buying big purchase on steam but I LOVE the integration. Now EA has taken that away. I don't want multiple systems. I want one where I can look at my time spent, shinies, etc.

Also, if I don't buy back to karkand, is it gonna kick me off the server when the server rotates to that map? Fuck you, EA. Just for that, i'm not pre-ordering shit, and i'll buy it on amazon.

didn't they say in one of the vids that Assault is going to be medic and Support is going to be the ammo guy?

I'm not sure how I feel about that. Since they tweaked the M60 in BC2, i felt like the medic class was balanced. Because I go Medic when I want to heal/support my team, but when I want to kill bitches I go Assault.

If the Assault class is also a Medic, i'm pretty sure i'd never play any other class ever, heh.


Glad to see engineers will have real fucking rifles!!!

Why do they always have to model ammo guys with strings of linked ammo hung around them? Only stupid people do that. It takes waaaay too long to get that ammo off your body, break a link, and then finally get around to loading it into your MG. Friggen hollywood bullshit.

there's a dozen or more battlefield news sites. I'm gonna stick to doing informative stuff and try to be as different from the others as I can while still making it worth reading. plus with the videos, especially the leaked alpha footage, you can easily just go to youtube to find it. if you click the youtube widget i do have the official videos on my list.

Turns out I'm going to be on sad, sad hotel internet from early October until Mid December.
