played about 5 min of titanfall last night on a friend's xbox and thought it was great? little surprised. can't afford it though.

i know Pos has it. anyone else pick it up?

My problem with titanfall is that you can never count on it being a good time. Sometimes the game works well, sometimes it's as bad as BF4 (this seems to be a server issue); sometimes the matchmaking puts you into good matchups, sometimes (surprisingly frequently) you end up against six guys who haven't stopped playing since launch.

If you get a good server and fair teams, it's a fucking outstanding game. Otherwise it's crap.

So exactly the same problem with every single competitive game we've every played? including CS:GO and BF4?

my experience so far is it's still pretty fun even when losing, cause I get to kill a bunch of grunts and drive a giant robot around.

But i'm sure once i got better I'd start getting tired of losing.

The thing about battlefield is you choose what server you play on (as for CS, I wouldn't know). With titanfall, you have to try your luck over and over.

oh.

CSGO has both but we pretty much exclusively use the auto-match-up feature.

We tend to get more even games than we did back in the day setting shit up in IRC. And for a 5 v 5 game I can't imagine you'd have any better luck trying to browse servers. They'd just be empty all the time like they are in battlefield...

Only bits of titanfall i've played has been like 6 vs 6 i think.

I'm not saying matchmaking-only is bad, I'm saying titanfall's matchmaking is bad.

Also yeah, it's all 6v6.
