P.S. I'll never forgive the A's for that Neifi Perez/Jermaine Dye trade. I once heard Peter Gammons describe Perez's performance for the Royals as the most "destructive" season for a position player since 1960, and he had stats to back it up. AND he turned out to be a year older than everyone thought at the time of the trade.

I know its unessecary for me to even poast, but I firmly believe that without Steinbrenner, the sox would NOT be over $100 mill payroll... and honestly, you put the Sox in the west or the NL and our payroll shinks to ~half of what it is. We are part of the problem, yes, but we are simple reacting to the problem. It just so happens that, unlike the devil rays, we have the ability/willingness to spend the millions to try to keep up.

[02:38] assrott: WE FIND THE DEFENDANT GUILTY YOUR HONOR

[02:38] Hogg: no, what the royals suck has passed beyond what the human mind can grasp
[02:38] assrott: HONOR IS CLOSE TO BONER

[02:38] Hogg: it's something nebulous now, like infinity
[02:39] Hogg: "that cock which the royals fucking suck" is the new infinity
[02:39] assrott: my cock is nebulous
[02:39] Hogg: it's like an infinite amount of infinity
[02:39] Hogg: you are great.

Heard this last night while trying to sleep.

Yeah, SportsCenter had a nice little segment saying that, too. They also basically stole my idea for a montage of suck.

Nope. Don't give them so much credit. After blowing a 6-0 1st inning lead and another 8-5 8th inning lead today, they are on pace for exactly 36 wins. 36-126 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 40-120.

This is the guy I've been calling "Ted Williams" from opening day:
Quote:
ENW YORK — The question was undeniably loaded: Is there a reason why the team with baseball’s worst record can’t find a way to work a .400 hitter into its lineup?

Or more specifically, why were Esteban German and his .397 average on the bench again Saturday when the Royals continued their three-game weekend series at Yankee Stadium?

...

The Royals are averaging 5.6 runs in the seven games when German serves as the leadoff hitter and, before Saturday, averaging 3.5 runs in other games.

...

German’s average, entering Saturday, was the highest of any player with at least 70 at-bats. Only Barry Bonds had a better on-base percentage.
Well done, Buddy Bell.

I propose that the Royals go on a two-game winning streak immediately.

Then they can be "leet" (13-37).

That is all.

I remember when the Royals had 13 wins last season, and they would have needed like six losses in a row to get to 13-37.

Then they did it.

In brighter news, the astros signed Roger Clemons to a new minor league contract.

Also on the news the reported that bagwell is going to be payed 17 million from an insurance claim for not playing. The insurance company is investigating allegations of steroid use, because it will void the 17 million payoff.

I posted the Matt Stairs video to YouTube, and I thought they rejected it because it's clearly copyrighted material. But I guess it eventually did show up, and now someone is subscribing to my videos because of it, LOL.

If by "good" you mean "the world's best softball player who for some reason is still in the Majors," then absolutely. I still love him though. He's a lovable lumberjack who cast aside his axe for a bat, and the rest is history.

P.S. His "entrance music" at Kauffman is Stone Cold Steve Austin's theme (and has been since years). lawl.

Ryan Lefebvre pointed out that Grud wouldn't have been able to make the play, if not for the extra boost from Mientkiewicz's jump.
