Post subject:  Pirates of the Carribean (Spoliers)
So i saw it at midnight and was altogether disapointed in how funny it was. I mean it was a good movie but much like the 2nd Jurrasic Park it just couldnt compare to the first. It also wasnt worth being up til 3 for, im sorry.

Anyways, htf is Barbossa still alive?
and was there anything after the credits? i was too tired to care

Yeah...it didn't compare to the first. They took the good subtle jokes from the first and made a movie out of it.

One question I had, HOW THE FUCK IS THAT MONKEY STILL UNDEAD. I mean, if the monkey is, they all should be.

it's been too long since i've seen the first one; i thought this one was good (selling point: IT HAS A KRAKEN), but yes too much comedy relief. i'm sure george would have let them use jar-jar binks if they had asked....crust him with barnacles and sea-urchins. presto, a menacing crewmember for davey jones.

maybe final judgement will be reserved until i re-watch the first.

Barbossa became alive again due to voodoo.

They needed someone to captain them that had been to the depths of hell and the underworld (in this case Davy Jone's Locker) So she brought him back to life. Did you not remember seeing boots that were there when Jack first gave her the monkey?

i have since seen it again and rescind my former opinion. it's plenty dark. maybe i was thinking of the waterwheel scene when i wrote that, and not remembering scenes such as Jones being asked "what about the survivors?" and responding "there are no survivors" and then *slash* *hack* *stab* *chop*. i still plan to see the first again, for comparison.

Yeah I watched it again. I actually liked it much more the second time through.
