Just in case anyone needed a reminder that college football with polls/bowls is total fucking bullshit:

I see that in this week's rankings, Nebraska has the same record as Virginia Tech, who earlier in the season lost to a 1-AA team at home. A 1-AA team who finished their season 6-5. So it stands to reason, of course, that Virginia Tech is ranked higher than Nebraska.

Hey there, fellow conference co-champion. I love these participant ribbons they hand out to everyone who won a division. It's like real sports, except with more winners!

Oh, wait, down here we believe in actually playing sports to determine champions. Tough luck for us, I guess. Like so many Big Ten teams this decade, we'd have been much better off not playing in a title game.

Well, the Big 10 took a step in the right direction adding Nebraska and then a title game, then they took a giant step back with this gay-ass shit:

And yes, I'm pretty happy at least we're Legends.

Ooooh... (sharp intake of air through teeth)

Well, maybe The Ohio State, USC, and the rest can get together and form the Crippled By Sanctions For Being Cheating Pieces Of Shit Conference.

Show me a morally upright college football program and I'll show you a losing record.
Even my beloved Iowa isn't immune. UNI maybe, but they're a lesser division so they don't count.

True enough, but I'll pick the low-hanging fruit for trash talk any day.

It's hilarious to watch all of the peasants squabble over the right to become the token SEC opponent in the national championship game.

I have a feeling the punishment is going to be worse than what Ohio State fans think it will be and nowhere near as bad as other fanbases think it will be.

I like football. More than what's probably healthy. More than video games even (WHAT?!).
So it's with that in mind, I offer you articles like these (which would make the average person want to choke and die of boredom if read in entirety).
I think they're awesome (NFL-related, FYI).

Those with glass houses.......
Quote:
ESPN radio host Colin Cowherd spent a segment of his show today talking Jim Tressel, but got a surprising, unprompted phone call.

It was Colt McCoy's wife Rachel, who spent around six minutes on the air with Cowherd talking about how boosters and agents would try to contact McCoy, often with offers of things like a free meal or a hunting trip.

Rachel McCoy, near the end of the interview, had this to say:
"Colt did not himself have as much interaction [with agents], I don't think. I know he was approached quite a bit, but you know how Colt is, he can just kind of brush it off and just kind of move on and not go down that road, but I saw so many of his teammates who just, they maybe didn't have some of that self-control just to be able to say no to somebody. I can't. That's not my personality, I don't want to hurt people's feelings."

Well Coqui, your team out-sucked my team, but barely. I thought Nebraska played excellent offense after the first possession of the second half, and the defense certainly benefited from the OSU quarterback's injury. Would have been interesting to see the finish of the game without that injury.
