...and all I got was this crapy rave machine. Hogg, after about 50 tries, I realized that your uber leet method was just not going to do it for my router, so I decided to call Belkin tech support. There were 2 main menus: "If there is something wrong with your f4d7230-4 [my model], press 1; for any other issues, press 2." Not a good sign. Fortunately, all Belkin routers have a lifetime warranty they said, so I think I will RMA it. In the meantime...Hogg, can I have ur wireless router, or would they pain too much? |

So Most of you know I got a virus or something that assed my computer hard. Now, when I boot it up, it says "Your system is infected and will shut down in 48 seconds." then 48 seconds elapse and my computer shuts off. Pork agreed to my suggestion that I simply buy a new hard drive, load Windows/Anti-virus/Whatnots, slave the old drive and transfer all of my files (uninfected) onto the new drive, and then wipe the old one clean. If you are in agony over this suggestion and have a greater and far more probable method of fixage, please contact me at 867-5309... haha, im greta, the number is in the numbar thread. |

I've had that virus before. When windows starts and you've got one minute before reboot, go to Start->Run and type cmd In the window that pops up type shutdown /a that should stop the shutdown. Here is the virus fix http://www.symantec.com/security_respon ... 19-5051-99 |

u r gretna I was unable to wade through my exhaustion into the annals of my memory when it comes to setting up a completely fresh computer, which is why I never got on x-fire. I'll fix this tomorrow. Thanks Edot: when I reinstalled Windows last week, and was running the reinstalled version, it wouldn't let me connect to the internets. Am I to somehow use magic (like a flashdrive?) to put the patch from a computer to my computer? |

you should also keep a bootable CD handy, linux ones are the best, ubuntu has one as does knoppix. ( i don't even know if you can boot windows on a CD, like, a seperate install) |

So, shitty shitty bang bang, it says I don't have the blasterworm, even though I got the program from my buddy. Apparently, per the instructions that I glanced over and subsequently forgot, I am only able to do the thing when I install first a patch, so I'll get my buddy to give me that, too, since I cannot connect to the internets. |

Before I re-formatted my computer I was downloading a bunch of random shit and contracted phantom techno music...it was amazing...and by amazing I mean the worst thing ever...although I'm glad it wasn't country music... |

Ok, so I'm back, but now when I try to open CSS it gives me an error that reads "hl2.exe has encountered an error and must shut down." I vaguely remember this happening, but I was wondering if anyone remembers how to fix it. |
