So I went ahead and beat the Portal main game. It has a hilarious fucked up ending. I highly recommend it.

First portal goes in the ground in front of the wall, 2nd on the ceiling above the drop. As you fall into the 1st portal, create another portal on the floor of the drop (replacing the one you just came out of). It should give you enough momentum to go over the glass. It's a crappy explanation, so lmk if you want pics or something.

even funnier is that a dialogue in hl2:2 mentions aperture laboratories as black mesa's major competitor for grant funding

I've heard nothing but rave reviews.
I bought it and yes, it fucking rocks. Fun as shit. Highly Recommended.

I didn't try the gnome challenge, but i've tried to take a couple of saw blades with me in the car and so far no dice.
