So I bought a DS awhile back for my insane amount of long air ventures mostly for final fantasy games. I got myself an R4 adapter for it. For those of you who don't know what this is; It is a 3rd party mod bypass card which fits into the game cartridge slot that you can fit an sd memory card into. I highly recomend it if you have a ds. Here is a list of the neat crap you can do with it.

Only drawback is I have a 1 gig mem card. Some app's games are hard to get working properly. Overall this will burn a lot of time for me.

1. Turn your DS into an IPOD movie player http://youtube.com/watch?v=MUpAlKknlEQ

2. Internet browser (nintendo or Opera) http://youtube.com/watch?v=QR2yfhBSvR0&feature=related

3. VOIP via built in wireless http://youtube.com/watch?v=mtIO3-9dJA8

4. Remote Desktop (havn't got it to work yet as it was wrote by MooKeTTe or his brother and instructions are hard to understand rofl.
Once I get this working, I plan on running well control with it for a completion rofl.

5. Various homebrew games/apps ran as roms. Calculators and such tower defense games and Starcraft lite which i still have yet to get working hehe.

6. Complete back-up of DS games. I can put like 20 roms on a 2 gig mem card.

I use an M3Lite. It's pretty much the greatest thing ever. Plays NDS and GBA games as well as some NES/SNES. The downside is that there's slightly less battery life since it uses the GBA slot.

Whats the max memory card size that can hold? Also what program do you use to run nes/snes games?

Also another reason to have Blizzard. They gave the starlite guys a cease and decist letter and it has been abandoned.

I think the max is 2gb. As far as I know, 4gb cards are either SDHC or SD cards that don't exactly follow the spec, and it can only read (micro)SD. I think it uses PocketNES/SNES for the emulation. It's kinda buggy, so I don't use it much. I use the GBA/GB more than the NES/SNES.

There are cheaper slot 2 cards than the M3Lite. Google around if you're interested.

I am perfectly happy with my R5 as I think its the most popular. I am a little pissed that it said 4gb support when they dont have the cards for it that are 4 gb.
