I solved the glitch problem by downloading the amd dual core 64x 32 optimizer. I wonder why they never took that into account for the main game?

Also muel remember how oblivion would blackout randomly? FO3 is doing it also.

played it a little on number's playstation and it seems pretty great. will have to upgrade my PC though to get enough playtime. :(

By the looks of it, you have some time before they fix all the damn bugs. I can't even get it to load on my brand new work laptop. My game rig works now. I still get random crashes and random minimizes. I stopped the blackout bug by taking the graphics down to minimal. One problem I have is I can't figure out what setting extends the clip plane for seeing people and monsters. Would that be actor clip plane? If so who the fuck calls computer characters actors? Is this a fucking movie NO!

Yea I got both.

The mini nuke aka 'fat man' is very satisfying, mushroom cloud and all.

The dog will find items for you if you tell it to, but it dies kinda easily so i usually make it stay at the house you can get.

I really like it.

Cool story, Post Apocalyptic DC looks really cool, pretty fun.

Only part I dont like is the super stupid AI and the wonky guns/VATS.

The VATS system is very nice. It can really help during a tuff guy fight with a rifle to the head. +it was in the origional.

get a merc to run with you, charon is my personal favorite, fawkes also good but can't get till late in the game. only others i know that will join you is that jericho but i'm too much of a little goody two shoes for him. trade equipment with your friend and load them up with pwr armor weapons and other what nots to trade for bullets. ps a3-21's plasma rifle is tits

i was not clear.

i meant VATS should not have been an option. it should have been ON ALL THE TIME.

nah, I dont need VATS all the time.

I can see it if you're using a console since its harder to aim but I like being able to fire without VATS. ESPECIALLY when you get weapons that are actually accurate and you can shoot from a distance.

Plasma Rifle = win

that's exactly the problem. it allows you to rely on your FPS skills instead of your coded skills.

If i wanted to play an FPS, i'd buy halo or some bullshit like that.

honestly, Dues Ex 1 did the FPS/RPG better than this uninspired attempt.

DE was one of the best games ever made. In my opionion they are the same with vats being a great addition as an option.

well i did some testing and realized skill does affect accuracy in and out of vats mode. That cheered me.

The other question i have is this: Is player speed affected by their agility? Not "number of shots in vats" but raw speed?

Also, does each gun have a unique fire rate outside of vats?

Lastly, it looks like black isle's own fallout 3 (van buren) would have had real time combat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uuDKrY7eW0

so the only really core difference then would be using the mouse to aim FPS style instead of RTS style which is what i'm fine with.

The other missing components like funny and rampant prostitution and gambling and child killing i can live with. Not every game dev has the vision and balls of black isle. the truly great come along only so often.

First time I read this, I totally thought it was in the "Ultros drives Nigeria" thread or whatever. I couldn't make sense of it, but it sounded kinda sad and serious.
