4 player Co-op FPS RPG(lite).

I'm game! Already digging the cartoonish-style graphics. And it goes nicely with my 360 (though we can also hope for a good PC port)

It's going to be on PC and PS3 as well, but you seem to have more faith in Gearbox than I do.

Uh! According to this link http://www.gearboxsoftware.com/games/ Gearbox is responsible for Halo, CounterStrike, CZ and Half-Life.

So I finished this playing by myself on the xbox sometime a week or so ago (dont know anyone else on xbox, and randoms on xbox are even more douchetardy then on pc). The end was...wonderfully disappointing. And I didn't get shit for decent weapons from the last guy. It's like playing solo diablo without a decent story, interesting bosses, or any great replayability beyond collecting more guns with randomly generated stats.

I love the idea of multi-player diablo/fallout crossover, and the cell-shading makes it feel new and fresh, but the entertainment just isnt there.

I'd read some of the DLC for it was quite good.

I bought the 1st DLC and it might be good but unfortunately if you're not leveled up enough to play then you just die all the time. I got around to griding in the main game for 5 hours just so I could be high enough level to play through my DLC.

sucks.

teaks, you necro'd the wrong thread. There's another bigger borderlands thread.

but since we're here, borderlands by yourself is a hollow feeling diablo-like shooter with cell shading, as described. Which would be great except you cannot adjust the difficulty. You usually end up advancing too fast for the main story line to keep up, at least I did consistently in my 60 hours of play. I may have leveled up faster though, because I played with friends which increases the number and difficulty of the enemies (and makes loot better.)

also there just aren't that many enemies playing solo, it's quite boring.

the DLC won't change that, doesn't matter how good it is. I don't recommend buying the DLC unless you plan on playing it w/ people.

happy why didn't you invite anyone to play it with you?

Me and Hogg totally played together and got stopmed cause we were too low level. Its just dumb because Hogg and I had both already beaten the main game... so we should have been able to enter the DLC no problem.

Did we? Man, I don't remember that.

Post subject:  Re: Borderlands: A Gay Romp through Post Apocolyptica

did you avoid all sidequests on your way through the main game? What level did you end up with when you started the DLC?

Which DLC was it? The zombie one should be done first, then Knox. Moxxi's will set the enemies to be your level.

it's just weird because me and machidiel were bitching about how the zombie DLC was too easy. We just finished the 2nd playthrough for the main game, which was also too easy, and are now level 55. We're doing General Knox next and are hoping for a challenge.

p.s.
I meant, did you play the main game w/ friends or by yourself? because if you play it solo you level up slower, so when you hit the DLC you're still too low a level, regardless if you have a buddy or not.

I played through the main game with 3 friends the wntire time, also I did all the side quests. I ended up around lv 36 and you need to be lv 40 at a minimum to do zombie island. So since I didnt want to grid for several hours to play zombie island I tried to play w/ Hogg and every monster was like a boss fight.

We died a lot and then just said fuck it and played TF2 or something.

ok, that makes sense.

I had done a chunk of playthrough 2 before i stopped playing last year and so when I hit the zombie DLC i was already past level 40 and it was a breeze.

if you still want to play it i'll join you. I can just grab a weapon from the ground and remove some skillpoints so it's not super easy, but still beatable.
