Another good step against cheaters: http://blog.counter-strike.net/index.php/overwatch/

Reviewers won't be able to see chat or voice, so fortunately or unfortunately our antics will be hidden from view. Also, being told where an enemy is over mumble might seem like walling to an inexperienced reviewer, but I'm not too concerned. They have to watch 10 minutes of play, so one instance like that shouldn't make the reviewers' decisions. I also don't anticipate too many people will report us for cheating in the first place.

Report away, reporters. If you think someone's cheating, hit tab and use the arrow keys to select their name. Hit enter, then click Report and choose the appropriate option. With a group of us reporting the same person it should help get them looked at.

Gabe is doing a good job of keeping CSGO in my top slot for competitive shooters.

That's only because there's no other competition in that space other than 1.6. QuakeLive or Tribes CTF maybe.

I still say I've had more fun playing BF3.

I really enjoy BF3 metro. That being said I also enjoy 'other maps without vehicle whores' which is the equivalant of CS:GO. There's also something about actual team-play and not just each of us running free-willy all over the place. Basically I enjoy CS; I'd love it even more if I could have BF3's design (bullet drop, weapon customization, suppression, flashlight-laser flare, etc). Maybe in CS:Piss off our fanbase.

On a side note: I miss the lack of very defined stats we had with the HARD gaming servers. CS:GO has a small bit, but very lacking compared to what was provided there. Fucking Gabe. Give me cool shit to look at.

Yay, new (old) map coming next week - de_mirage. I can't really remember playing it before. Either way it should be fun having another map in the mix.

You probably remember it better as de_cpl_strike (though mirage made a few balance changes)

Fuck yeah mirage. It was one of those crazy maps the Cal-I and CPL kids would play religiously.

again, bf3 would be more fun if 5 of us could stay in the same squad for 45 minutes easily and consistently. But with CSGO it's really never been easier to play with your friends.

hopefully bf4 will be the sweet spot. not looking forward to upgrading the computer again. Specifically remember getting a new graphics card for the BF3 beta.

I'll do a new build for BF4. My last ground-up build was for BFBC2. So excite.

I base my builds on deployments. Last full build was 2009, a few upgrades in 2011. Not sure if BF4 will require a complete rebuild or just upgrades again...want to see the video requirements, but would love to fully power my eyefinity again.

I'm just bitter it took them a year to add silencers and then made them almost worthless in pubs due to the ammo count :(.
