good stuff from reddit today:

Strafe-jumps VS jump-shots... correctly analysed (youtube.com)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RPlYc4iM7s
tl;dr - the longer you're in the air the more accuracy you get. fire as late as possible, after the apex.

good way to rush B on Dust2

http://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive ... to_rush_b/
tl;dr - smoke from the 1st arch and then throw the flash

pro-player sensitivity settings/mice/DPI

http://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive ... nsitivity/
tl;dr - 90% have to move their mouse 1-2 feet to pull off a 360 degree turn.

When they added music packs, they added cvars to control the volume of the music played at certain times. You can use this to have music play when the round is going to be over in 10 seconds (which includes the bomb timer):
Code:
# Handy-dandy defuse timer music
snd_musicvolume "1.000000"
snd_deathcamera_volume "0.000000"
snd_mapobjective_volume "0.000000"
snd_menumusic_volume "0.000000"
snd_roundend_volume "0.000000"
snd_roundstart_volume "0.000000"
snd_tensecondwarning_volume "1.000000"

# Toggle to mute said music
bind "t" "toggle snd_musicvolume 1 0"
The volume control cvars are also in the GUI if you want to use that.

We've rebuilt the map from the ground up in order to improve both the visual appearance and competitive gameplay balance of this iconic location.

Our primary goals were to improve the gameplay balance of the map while simultaneously upgrading the overall visual experience. This meant making more intuitive layout changes, then re-interpreting large and small-scale environment elements to improve judgement of space and distance.

Check out the video to see a montage of iterative changes made during development.

spck, jefe, sabs, teaks and I practiced some cache smokes to great effect. stuff from operation l2p.

more importantly, we worked out a new default plant spot for A that makes it easier to kill the defuser from big garage.

The idea is to have most of the remaining team hang out big garage.

ATTN people who use the 10 second music timer to help them gauge the time left for defusal: it may not work like you expect!

I was spectating hogg yesterday and he started defusing without a kit (save round) before the music started. it still exploded. i'm thinking that the bomb actually becomes un-defusable around T-2 seconds before the actual round-end. OR it's unreliable as a spectator or some buggy server desync.

Hogg has music off so can't say.

Sabs corroborated this where he had the music on, started a defuse before the music, and it blew up.

Anyone had it actually work where they started defusing right at the music? If I remember this tonight I'll test offline.

Announce flashes before you throw them if teammates are close. E.g. "Flashing tunnels!"

Don't buy until you check your team's economy. If you're not sure if they are buying (team average $3.5k), ask over mic quickly.

•Compliment big plays from teammates, and say "nice try." Or don't say anything if they go down while clutching. It really helps your team play their best. Giving them shit for losing can ruin the rest of a players game, as I'm sure y'all have witnessed already.
