So either Agent or Dime or somebody and I had a short (i.e. 2 sentence) conversation about the new l4d2 autoshotty ("Hey, what actually is this thing?" "F if I know") a day or two ago. So today I was bored, dug out a few of my books, and looked it up. So yeah, most affectionitly refered to as the "Manhammer", it's actually a Frenchi SPAS-12 (SPAS = Special Purpose Automatic Shotgun). First released in 1979 by an Italian inventor by the last name of Frenchi it was one of the first automatic shotguns specifically desiged as an automatic for military purposes. Has a 7-round tube, double safeties, runs on full auto or by manual pump-action. Can fire 4 rounds a second and I didnt look at how much it weighs. And finally does anyone actually care? Nope. In fact, even I don't really care anymore... |
