Anyone have problems getting it to work in win7 64? I tried everything. Read a whole lot about codecs and none of it helped. Got one of the dl content via steam.

Got it on xbox. Wonderful game. Anyone got suggestions on expansions? Havent purchased any of them, wondering is some are crap or definately worth the monies.

Also see that "las vegas" is coming out soon, think that's a stand alone, will probably have to get that one too as much as i liked the origional.

las vegas is definitely stand alone.

i've heard the expansions are pretty decent if you really enjoyed the first game. they all scored about 60-80, and nicely priced at around 10 bucks. and i think all or most are available on steam.

Operation Anchorage

Broken Steel

... god damn! how many did they make??

Mothership Zeta

The Pitt

Point Lookout

5 apparently. they made 5 expansions.

Expansions are much better if it's part of your first playthrough. I was way overpowered for Anchorage and The Pitt and didn't find either one that engaging (though Point Lookout is supposed to be the best of the bunch). Broken Steel is absolutely necessary as it fixes the original retarded ending and lets you explore the game world afterward. They're not worth $10/each though. You should be able to get the GOTY (game + all expansions) edition for around $30 new.

"BOWIE HOUR CONTINUES. Fawkes is an incredible companion simply for the fact that he can not only survive a 30 bottlecap mine explosion, but survive re-entering the atmosphere on the way back down."

More from our friend who brought us "Moonbase Alpha provides a realistic simulation of life on a natural satellite."
