crapy clawn forums :: Fuck yo Starcraft. CIV V bitches!

Looks like 2k took a page out of Gabe's book. I've been hit by a couple of game-killing bugs.

The less serious one was, I kicked the shit out of some dickhead who started an unprovoked war. He got tired of me rolling him 30-0 so he offered me all his cities and everything he owned in exchange for peace. I took the offer and made all the cities puppet states. But then I had the Choose Production button because of a bug where it thinks you have to choose production in some of the puppet states. You can't force the turn to end or anything; the only option is to annex all the bugged cities and choose production in them. This made my empire pretty unhappy, but I guess I can get around it eventually, with enough Colosseums and 40-turn Courthouse constructions.

The game-ruining one is that I made peace with the Mohammedan dickheads to the south after kicking the shit out of their unprovoked invasion, and now I can't declare war on them, ever again. The bug is that it thinks our peace treaty is still in effect. According to the forums, the only way to get into war again is to nuke them (and believe you me, I will when I can). In the meantime, the Mohammedan dickheads can freely attack the city-states who are my allies, and I can't defend them because I can't attack the Mohammedans, and I can't liberate them once they've been captured. All I can do is gift units to them and watch them piss them away in retarded combat moves.

I don't want to start an epic marathon game with that second bug because I'm pretty sure I'll end up in a war with someone, I'll want to make peace with them, and I'll eventually want to attack them again for being dickheads.

I figured out that when you move missles nukes planes to other citys or ships you must click the city not the name and it seems to work.

Just got a cultural victory on the standard setting (Prince?) Anyway, I was never challenged. At the end of the game I was racking up so much culture that I enacted two more policies during the 10 turns it took me to build the Utopia project. Also I had battle ships sitting off the French coast constantly shelling all French cities... and Napoleon refused to give me all his money and good and territory in exchange for peace.

I kicked the shit out of Germany so bad he offered me all his money and his second to last City and all his goods + open borders for peace for 10 turns. I took my cash and continues my war with others till the 10 turns were up. I did the world map which was a mistake cause it took like 6 turns just to get troops from South America to Africa. I did start in the modern era and made the spaceship cause I just smashed everyone. Giving it a shot on mid level difficulty.

posi, did you try this? Running a Tiny Empire in Civilization 5 talks about doing just a handful of cities and winning on diplomacy or culture I know we had fun taking bitches over, but if you want to see your cultural victory that'd be a fun way

my favorites - Economy - Can now sell Buildings in a city (to help lower maintenance for obsolete buildings later in the game). Workers - Priority of trading posts reduced, and rebalanced priorities on other improvements Workers - Improved the path-finding mechanic when building route-to roads improved, including a large performance increase when evaluating road-pathing. City - Make sure Puppets don't construct buildings that require Resources.

Just finished my first game, won military victory using the huge map, 12 civilizations, and on prince level. Gotta say there's something wonderfully fun about using jets against crossbowmen. Also got in an 8-missle nuking barrage against the last guy

Cultural victory on Prince is f'ing easy. Get two cities right off the bat and then start cranking out wonders + buildings that enhance culture. Build a 3rd city if you need more trade resources or production stuff. If you do it right you can build every wonder in the game and crank out culture points really fast.

yea more on it here: http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questio ... al-victory basically if you cap out at 3-4 cities, and then you can conquer and keep puppet cities - they don't cost increase culture cost, and you can love on city-states, and pretty soon you've won.

Yeah, good shit. The patch fixed all my major complaints. Now my major complaint is that I need more hours in the day so I can play it.

lol, nice. I think you have to kick it up to king or better for a stronger challenge. also, yea i uninstalled this game today. backed it up to my data drive, but wanted to get it off my raptor.

I did as any good nation would do. When I see uramium, I immetiatly take control of the supply or offer a carrot for all of their reserves if war is too costly.
