Alright, so got one more request for help. Got my 3rd wedding anniversary coming up in a week+. Anyone got great gift ideas? I always go for a little origionallity over a stock gift, but right now lacking even a place to start. Anyone got a great idea or 2? |

I feel liek this is a question for Ashley and I to answer. My suggestions are: A dinner train [such as http://www.newportdinnertrain.com/ ] Most states offer them, and they're fun as hell. Actually show up. Occupationally you're an absentee participant in a bulk of your marriage. Make the day about her. Couples massage or shopping, or a run together, what she's into. Don't ask her "what she wants to do", you've been with her long enough, just take her on a day that's all about her. Don't fool yourself, anniversaries have nothing to do with you. Don't turn into the whiny prissy little girl you tend to when you're not getting your way with her. Save that for a normal day. There's your help, go and be stupid no more. |

I was going to suggest the couples' massage as well... that's assuming you have some time together before you ship off. Spoiling her with something she'll remember would be the best way to go. In case you don't have time together - If you have a lot of photos of the two of you, you could spend a night or two putting together an album on snapfish.com or a similar website. Jewelry or flowers are never a bad idea, as all or part of your gift. Hopefully by now you have a good idea of what kinda flowers she likes and her style of shiny things. |
