So obviously need to install windows on my computer again... life after graduation has led me to a console-only gaming life. And now since I'm living with my girlfriend I think it would be sweet to hop on steam while she is watching the biggest loser, the lifetime channel, or other gay things such as those.

Yes, yes, quite embarrassing. Truth be told my ass has been much more comfortable on my couch in front of a 57" HDTV than in a gimpy computer chair staring at a 26" LCD.

I have to say, though, NOTHING compares to a keyboard + mouse. Those console fan-boys are completely wrong in this dept.

You heard about those pilot programs Microsoft ran where they allowed Xbox players to compete against PC players in Halo or some shit? They decided not to stick with that because the Xbox players got the shit kicked out of them.

The solution to this is pretty easy...
If you want to go all-out someone had some pics up of a tri-monitor style setup from this last spring/winter. Dont remember all the technical mumbo-jumbo, but was pretty badass.

Oh man, you guys are killing me now. I am going to get steam on my computer SOMEHOW! I miss the days of online gaming with fun people (yet another drawback of consoles). I think I remember something about steam working under WINE, may be worth a try.

press the nub button and it'll retrieve it for you automagically. And if that doesn't work, try f10.

Nah, we don't use Xfire anymore. Once Valve fixed Steam friends, it pretty much replaced it.
