It's mainly going to be for outlining strategy and gameplay tips once BF3 is out. Although, I figure it will also be a good place to post up our crazy screenshots and video of us Doing Scienceā„¢, jackass lan parties, etc.

If you use Twitter, Facebook, or RSS and want to see my new posts, click the widgets in the top right and follow/like/add. That way I don't feel like a loser with no followers if nobody outside of [ __ ] finds the site.

There's not a ton of content yet, given the beta's not out until September, but let me know what you think so far.

cool, looks good! nice catch on the domain name.

now as a guy in the web biz, i gotta ask, why are you doing this? Fame? Money? Urge to write?

if you have good content on this thing it could generate enough cash to, say, pay for its own expenses or more.

Before posting this I was gonna point out that the Battlefield content could be scrapped and changed to a site devoted to Beef Tips, BreastFeeding tips, or BoyFriend tips, but I knew you guys wouldn't disappoint.

I've been interested in creating a website for a while, so I finally decided to go for it. I've always enjoyed writing how-to's and such. I might host another WordPress site or two if I come up with topics I can write enough on. I am hoping that I can at least pay for the hosting expenses with it. If I can go beyond that, great, but of course it would take a long time to get that much traffic. That's why I decided not to use a domain with "bf3" in the title, as I'm sure there will be more Battlefield games to follow.

Why scrap any content?
I say we make it the destination site for all things "BF" on the web.
On one page we give engineer tips, on another how to ween your baby off a nipple, on the third a dynamite sirloin tips receipt.
And then some chick takes it in the pooper.

Make sure you sign up for Origin soon, since Steam is almost a certainly a no-go for BF3. Origin has player profiles just like Steam.

Also, need more Facebook and Twitter followers! I won't annoy you with pointless crap like most of the people in your feed, honest.

Only useful things like BBQ Beef Tips, "Just the Tip" jokes, and BoyFriend Tips.

I fucking hate hate hate EA for forcing me to sign up for Origin.

You can quote me on your blag.

Yep, it sucks. Probably comes down to money since neither Valve or EA with give specifics of the "disagreement" - Valve probably wants a larger cut of the DLC than EA is willing to pay. I'd rather pay a little extra and get to use the same friends list as my other games, but it doesn't look like this will be settled soon, if at all.

Anyway, Origin doesn't seem bad so far. The features are more limited, but as long as I can tell who's online, who's in a game, and be able to join others' games, that's 95% of what I'm looking for.

Pea is BF3 ready and pre ordered.

if they do add it to steam later you can just plug in your cdkey and it should take it.

Origin is an ugly piece of shit. Looks like Baby's First .NET Project or something.

curious and bored to read, but origin is not *required* any more than Steam is, right?

Unknown so far. It might be required for updates and DLC, but that remains to be seen.
