Sabs,

why is Amazon selling the pre-order (including karkand) at $18 off the origin price?
http://amzn.com/B005Q47M56

And is there a catch? Seems too good to be true.

I'd imagine as a loss-leader to help popularize their DDL service. It's not the first time games have been cheaper than on the 'native' DDL platform. It happens all the time with Steam and Greenman Gaming and/or retail prices.

Jebus. Can I return my preorder and get that one instead?

I think Heretic is right on. I'm still glad I went with Origin for a couple extra days of beta - paid just a little more at $48 after coupon.

I'm doing the same. Protip: if you do Live Chat, don't bother filling in all those details they ask for, for refunds and stuff, when you start the chat. They ignore whatever you've typed in there and just say "Hello my name is Naganhennajar, how may I help you?" I know, because the second time I went through the chat, I typed "APPARENTLY IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER WHAT I TYPE HERE BECAUSE YOU IGNORE IT." And so he did.

WHAT

Post subject:  Re: Sabs has a BF3 website

Damavand Peak, internally known as Base Jump, is built on the idea that we want players to be able to base jump, and features our most extreme height differences ever in a Battlefield map. Attackers in Rush and Squad Rush will start high up on a mountain ridge above a mining facility. The only way down into the valley is to somehow make the 500 meter descent.

You should've all received emails about the BF3 preload, but in case you didn't - start up Origin, click the My Games tab, then the "Ready to Download" button.

Oh yes I did: http://bftips.com/2012/03/battlefield-3-sniping-tips/

Snipers will snipe, so I might as well offer them a way to suck less at it.

Added a crossbow guide, hope it's helpful. Don't have time for gaming tonight after working on that, but I'll be on Wednesday for some Aftermath goodness.
