Having actually played both Skankdom and DD for a couple hours I've got say: both games are pretty solid and enjoyable side-tracks.

Neither is quite the mastery that is BF3, but as something new/different they make fun amusement.

Skankdom = Kinda what you would expect from a "Tower defense" game. 4 people all work to build towers around traditional "TD" style maps, then take an active part a-la FPS in shooting all the things moving through the pre-set paths of the map. Good stuff for a solid night-cap of FPS.

Dungeon Defenders = much less 'TD', much more RPG. You build your character over an extended timeframe, find better gear/weapons by killing monsters, upgrade u'r gear weapons to make u'r character better. Each of the 4 different characters (8 if you pay the extra $2.50 for character-pack DLC) plays very differently. Each have different 'buildable' units that work either as a defense, offense, or buff for the players. The players take a much more active role in actually killing all incoming monsters, and maps are much more open so they all follow less of a preset path, making choke points more important.

Basically just very different games built around the same premise. Recommend both, espically if they recap steam sales tomorrow and drop them to like $2-4 each tomorrow.

Re-cap of steam sales today: Dungeon Defenders and all DLC is now 75% off again.

Base game will cost u like $3.75. Recommend getting the Heroes Pack DLC (like $1.25) at the same time for the extra 4 heroes to choose from.
