If you want something besides vanilla, speak out now.

  • Password - if set, players must enter this password when connecting to the server.

    Friendly fire – when set, people can inflict damage on others in the same team.

    Killcam – when set, a killed player gets to see a close-up of his/hers killer for a few seconds.

    Minimap – when set, a minimap is available in the bottom-left corner of the screen during play.

    HUD – when set, the hud is present.

    Crosshair – when set, guns have crosshairs in the center of the screen.

    3D spotting – when set, spotted targets are marked with icons in the 3D world.

    Minimap spotting - when set, spotted targets are marked with icons on the minimap.

    Third-person vehicle cameras - when set, 3rd person vehicle cameras are enabled.

    Nametag – when set, nametags are rendered over players’ heads in the 3D world.

    Health regen – when set, health regeneration is enabled.

    Vehicle spawning – when set, vehicles will spawn in-game.

    Vehicle spawn delay – controls the delay between vehicle spawn; specified in percent (100% =

    normal).

    Soldier health – sets maximum soldier health, specified in percent (0-100%; 100% = normal).

    Player respawn time – controls player respawn delay; specified in percent (100% = normal).

    Man down time - controls player man-down time; specified in percent (100% = normal).

    Bullet damage – controls bullet damage; specified in percent (0-100%; 100% = normal).

    Only squad leader spawn – when set, players can only spawn on the squad leader.

    Round start player count – when the server is in pre-round, it waits for this many players to be present until it proceeds to start the real round.

    Round restart player count – when a round is going, if the number of players drops under this
    number, the round will be aborted and the server moves back to pre-round.

I think it's important we are in the quick match pool. Plus, the values for it are what we are used to from bad company 2. Personally, i'd like to play the game as intended and see how much we enjoy it before we go fucking around with options that may turn away players.

I'd prefer all defaults, except the killcam. I'd prefer it off. There are plenty of positional cues as it is - I think the kill cam is too much of a giveaway, especially since it follows players for a while after death. That said, most players love or hate it, so we can stick to the default if that seems to be the more commonly preferred option.

I'd rather keep health regen on - I think it tips the advantage to the assault class otherwise. No other class will be able to get more than a few kills in a row if they have to rely on teammates to drop health packs. Also don't like running around with blood-o-vision, for what seems like an eternity, until someone finishes me off because a sniper got 1 body shot on me. Sure, nobody likes to see an almost-dead enemy retreat off behind a rock and magically heal, but the regen is slow enough that you can go after them to finish the job.

Pretty much agree.

No killcam. Leave rest as is for now, can change later if we dont like.

Want mods that scream "HEADSHOT" at random intervals and give all tanks horns that sound off with the 'dixie' thing from the dukes of hazzard.

yea i'm fine with turning the kill cam off I agree, however for the 1st month or 2 we're sticking with the default variables so we are in the pool for when people click "quick match"
