I installed it, but I can't find a way to not have to put in a CD key and stuff. wtf?

Once you register for the trial account and download the launcher/game, it should start right up.

I dont remember ever having any sorta CD key issue.

you dont need a cd key. i created my account and installed and then it wanted me to put in a cd key on the web site to create my account. but i already had an account.

and this ceo is getting annoying. ive just been sitting around the past 2 days learning skills and waiting for him to let me into the corp. it wouldnt be so bad if i didnt have a short time before i have to start paying for this. i started trying to do some mining but i have to keep running away for these angel people.

Does anyone have any idea why my download won't get past on of the following files every time I try to install, on multiple downloads?

resSND.stuff, resTextures.stuff

So I installed it, got an account, made a character, and then when I hadn't even done anything with my ship, my internet crapped out.

When my internet craps out, that means it's just gone for 10-60 seconds. I'm sure some dust-caked piece of shit router in the tech's office is overheating or something.

The way programs react to this varies. CS sometimes lets me stay connected, sometimes disconnects me, and sometimes keeps me connected but does the weird glitch where no models are visible and stuff. Vent and xfire always disconnect and sometimes fail to reconnect. BF2 shits its pants, though I usually stay connected.

What does eve online do? It exits the game, telling me I "lost my connection." Well, duh. I guess closing the fucking client is really necessary.

So, in sum, my trial of eve online took about 10 minutes, and I've concluded I won't be able to play it ever.

Do you have DSL? Cause, and this sounds stupid, but we were having a problem with our DSL crapping out in much the same manner for the past month or so... turns out that one, JUST ONE, of the phone lines was plugged into the DSL side of the filter thing and that was causing disconnects every 15 minutes.

Switched the cord from DSL to phone and bam, no more disconnects.

Also HOGG, your trial last like... 8 minutes longer then mine.

CAUSE IT BUCKING FITES.

I don't have DSL; I'm in a kind of dorm sort of building, so I have the included interwebs.

I could get cable, but spending money = no.

when i started playing i got disconnected twice in maybe the first 30 minutes of playing. hasnt happened since and ive had it running all day a couple times.

With a mere 72 hours remaining on my trial account, the time has come to depart and uninstall. For lawl and glory, Rawhb agreed to assist me in my seppuku from EvE.

First, as my last will and testament dictated, i bequethed all of my spacely belongings to Agent137 to be used as he seen fit. The whole of my possessions included, among other things, several particle beem laser guns, a gatling laser (??) gun, some ammo cans, a few lead projectiles, a rookie mining ray, a half-eaten Subway sandwich, one cyberimplant for limited memory retention, a 12-sided die, and 7, yes 7, training mission gate key discs ("gigantic aquamarine mentos").

After spewing everything out of my cargo manhammer bay into Rawbs cargo buttocks, I realized there was the small matter of 1.5 million ass-dollars still in my 'wallet'. We quickly initiated a trade to get back those seven precious mentos for 1.58 mil. Done and done.

Now, no other deed remains but to trash my manhammer ship.

Three words, SUICIDE BRIGADE ATTACK.

Summon the Fraps, Rawhb.

We agreed to meet outside the navy base, with Ordion Moon 16 as the backdrop, and then at the agreed upon moment i self destructed the metallic penii ship.

This left my "pod", naked and quivering, floating helplessly in space. Hmm. Better self-destruct that, too. Rob continues to throw smoke and record demos, and then in 120 seconds my butt-pod blows to bits and the end is upon me.
