So I got into an argument (i guess you could call it that) with some prissy fucker in EVE tonight.
The text here is presented unedited.
<insert around 5 minutes of kitty talk in corp chat>
Horatio Acalus > KITTY?!
Horatio Acalus > space kitties.
Asha Seshanti > /emote nodnods.. Kitty. Just got me a kitty today!
Skullbearer > I had two, but one died of old age
Lagerby > this corp chat is giving me a severe headache
Skullbearer > I've got me a pretty calico
Skullbearer > 7 colors
Skullbearer > so soooft...
Lagerby > ...
Snibblelo > lol lagerby
Asha Seshanti > /emote yays. :)
Lagerby > skullbearer, if that was satire, you're a genius
Asha Seshanti > That bad, huh, Laggy?
Skullbearer > /emote gives lagerby some Excedrin
Lagerby > if it isn't.. then you most certainly swing for the pink team
Snibblelo > ROFL!
Skullbearer > eh?
Asha Seshanti > What's wrong with the pink team?
Snibblelo > hey, what's wrong with the pink team!?
Lagerby > HAHAH
Snibblelo > ROFL!!!
Asha Seshanti > rofl
Lagerby > im not touching that
Lagerby > you guys are nuts
Skullbearer > It takes a manly man to wear pink.
Lagerby > ..or a gay one
Horatio Acalus > Yarr, they're drivin' me nuts
Skullbearer > stereotype!
Asha Seshanti > I like men that wear pink. Sothere!
Skullbearer > /emote sues Lagerby
Lagerby > best pirate joke ever, horatio
Horatio Acalus > Yar.
Lagerby > Nar.
Skullbearer > LOL
Sigurd Ross > Yeah I call sterotype too
Skullbearer > I happened to have a few gay friends
Sigurd Ross > if I coul spell it right.
Lagerby > stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason
Skullbearer > regardless of my non-gayness
Skullbearer > look, not all gay guys 'act' or 'look' gay
Snibblelo > I am a buffet of manliness
Lagerby > im not debating this
Sigurd Ross > But fairly Skull, some do
Snibblelo > /emote looks around for a panda bear
Skullbearer > lol
Sigurd Ross > Like my boss
Horatio Acalus > Snibblelo, you astound me.
Asha Seshanti > Preisely. Skull's got it.
Skullbearer > Snibblelo must be delicious
Skullbearer > if only I like men... *sigh*
Drekkan Noldaris > ....
Drekkan Noldaris > I never want to hear those words out of your mouth again, Skull
Lagerby > skullbearer, go to a bar and try to pick a girl with that "kitty talk"
Asha Seshanti > Some day people are going to get over all the stereotypical masculinity BS. :) I'm looking orward to that day.
Asha Seshanti > orward=forward
Drekkan Noldaris > Especially when I didn't know what context to take it in
Skullbearer > Oh, Lagerby, I have gotten a date by talking about my love of cute kitties
Lagerby > /emote winces
Skullbearer > two different times
Skullbearer > with GIRLS
Lagerby > did it require a paypal account?
Horatio Acalus > hahahah
Skullbearer > Lagerby, I frankly, am taking offense.
Sigurd Ross > ROFL!
Skullbearer > Please stop or I WILL kill you on next sight.
Lagerby > heh
Skullbearer > That, or try every time I see you.
Lagerby > you say that like it's -my- problem
Skullbearer > Believe me, I will be the BIGGEST pain in the ass you have ever experience, and I'm not talking about your gay boyfriend.
Lagerby > hold on, lemme get out this gut laugh
Horatio Acalus > C'mon now.
Asha Seshanti > Alright guys. I think it's time to de-escalate here. Each of you are entitled to your own opinions, ne? I think it maybe best if you both agree to disagre?
Drekkan Noldaris > Wtf.. Why do I keep looking in here and seeing stuff like that...
Horatio Acalus > Haha, c'mon guys. We dont discuss politics, or .. sensative <br>subjects in corp. I dont want to be a stickler, but its best this way. Move to a private channel. And if its vent, ill mute you ;)
Lagerby > okay, sorry. i had to finish laughing.
Sigurd Ross > Aww, I thought it was good ribbing
Skullbearer > I'm not even going to entertain Lagerby on this.
Lagerby > i'm done :)
Skullbearer > I couldn't be more serious though Lagerby, hateful people make me so goddamn mad.
Asha Seshanti > I appreciate that Lagerby. Skull.. Just remember the old saying.. Those that know, are silent. Those that don't know, aren't.
Lagerby > deal with it, compadre. your anger is your own enemy, not mine.
Snibblelo > Enough, everyone.
Asha Seshanti > Yes, enough. Please. Don't escalate the issue any further.
Snibblelo > I WILL mute you both if I have to :)
Sigurd Ross > I agree it's now getting out of hand.
Sigurd Ross > New subject.
Skullbearer > Relax guys, you know me, if I was going to continue, I would have already entered two more lines of text
Drekkan Noldaris > <growls> I'm sick and grouchy. Be glad Snibbs is here. I wouldn't be so lenient
Asha Seshanti > So, anyone catch the latest soccer stuffs? Who won yesterday?
Horatio Acalus > And by out of hand, how about Sweden winning that game today, huh, huh?!
Snibblelo > i'm all excited about capture the can myself.
<insert forced chatter here to allay the previous tension>
Thought for the day: Why are people so timid when it comes to one opinion versus another? What's wrong with an argument? Having your beliefs tested by someone else is the only real way of solidifying them.
