crapy clawn forums

So, my computer smells like a chemical fire, and/or that metallic smell that happens when you run those electric racecars for a while and then smell the tracks/bottom of the car. Anyone have an idea why?

I have cleaned the fans etc, and am stymied, as temps are running normally.
I am shutting it off again... will check back on the other comp later.

why do you sniff electric racecars?

Start swapping things out, and hope it's your power supply.

I turned on my system again today after another search and clean, and my monitor began to snap, crackle, and pop, while retaining picture-perfect video. Subsequently, smoke began billowing forth, and so I jerked the cable out of the wall and tossed it gently into the front yard.

Oh yeah, I once had a monitor that did that.
