k, I just added a crapy captcha so real ppl can get in but bots can't. We may have to change the question every now and then, and I'm sure that third-world human spambots will be able to get by it, but hopefully it'll cut down on the bot registration.

I also changed account activation so that users get an activation email that they have to use, so admins will stop being spammed by the forum.

If it works well for the next couple of weeks, we can make the bot forum not public, and then we'll no longer have to deal with those spams (entertaining though they are).

For future reference: http://www.sumbit.com/phpbb_spam.htm "AntiSpam Question"

edit: oh and if we upgrade phpBB and/or the Boyz or SubSilver template, or make the default template something besides Boyz or SubSilver, make sure I know cuz the captcha code is in the files "includes/usercp_register.php" and "templates/NAMEOFTEMPLATE/profile_add_body.tpl"

So when I logged in from my parent's house I had to do it twice.

Turns out you guys wern't lieing about that. My recommendaton is just just be logged in automatically.
