First part of the article, I found pretty interesting. The psychology part.

Then when the guy was talking about how RPGs ruined his life and he changed his life by playing Sonic and stuff, that was pretty gay.

Plus he didn't address the orientation you have if you only like games you play drunk with Manhammers, but I think we all know what orientation that is.

Pretty interesting read. I think I have similar reasons for no longer playing RPG's.

I agree though, pretty lame that his epiphany involved playing Sonic. The real challenge comes from playing against other people. The real fun comes from playing with Manhammers.

The stuff we do is referred to as "emergent gameplay" which basically describes the process of creating game experiences within a game world that were not originally intended by the designers.
